Barnet Community Help Hub
The Community Help Hub https://engage.barnet.gov.uk/covid-19-community-help-hub is a network of local support that will help our communities remain resilient as the COVID-19 pandemic unfolds. The Hub will be updated daily with information, help and how you can get involved. If you are a community organisation that can offer support, please get in touch. The Community Help Hub provides information to help:
• find out how you can help your community and keep safe
• connect you to community resources, services, and virtual opportunities
• keep you informed about important updates
• gather your positive community stories and coping strategies.
For non-medical related urgent help: a helpline and email access for Barnet residents has been set up that will prioritise people who are extremely vulnerable from COVID-19, self-isolating and need support to remain safe at home or do not have other means of receiving support. When contacting you must ensure that you provide information about the circumstances and any contact details. Email COVID19support@barnet.gov.uk or call 0808 281 3210 (9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday)

Covid-19 Mutual Aid
Covid-19 Mutual Aid UK is the umbrella name for a group of volunteers supporting local community groups. These groups organise mutual aid throughout the Covid-19 outbreak in the UK. As Member Pioneers we would like you to join your local group if you haven’t already. You can find details here. https://covidmutualaid.org/local-groups/
If you find there isn’t a local group in your community then please set one up. You can invite some of your local connections to be admin with you.
This is a really effective way to share the needs of your local community and match people up. You will also be able to share Co-op messages as we get them.
From time to time I will be sending out a local Barnet/Cockfosters News Bulletin (if I have any News for you).
If you know of any Charities/Groups that might benefit from this information please forward to them and ask them to contact me if they would like to be added to the circulation list. Please ask them to include their full contact details.
Keep Safe and Well
