Afternoon Tea (Edited)
My wife and I had afternoon tea in Greenwoods Hotel and Spa in Stock this afternoon. A hotel in beautiful surroundings and brilliant weather today which greatly enhanced the experience. I can thoroughly recommend the venue.

The Group ‘Anything’ All that is missing from its title is a swastika emblem. (Edited)
A few home truths. I joined this group some months ago as an innocent newcomer. Within a very short time accusations started flying around about me accusing me of being someone else! An accusation that was completely false. The first instigator of this ridiculous claim was @CharlotteB who was then followed by @RobRoy and then @Danni All sad individuals. I was then banned from ‘Anything’ by the moderator @CliveF who obviously is in cahoots with the aforementioned Co conspirators. @Clive banned me but allows hatred at every level being spouted everywhere across his group. At one stage, I tried to join the group Share Tips To Make Life Easier. On clicking on ‘Join’ I found that I had been banned from the group without even being able to post anything. @CharlotteB again and her co moderator @ShirleyM Conpiracy theories are rife on Scooploop.
Then there’s @PeterAndrews1 & @UncleAlbert who also cast aspersions on my integrity. Two people who do nothing but post far right propaganda and hatred in the group. So, I as an innocent, get banned but @CliveF allows racism, hatred and downright lies in his group. I haven’t a clue where Scooploop moderators are. Conclusion? Give the racist ultra right wing group Anything a very wide berth
Upminster Bridge Underground Station. (Edited)
Some London Underground stations are renowned for their quirky designs.
But it turns out that one station has a design that isn’t so easy on the eye.
Upminster Bridge station is renowned for having a massive swastika on the floor. Originally, the swastika meant ‘good fortune’ in Sanskrit, and was often used in faiths such as Hinduism - but this was around 7,000 years ago.
The swastika used to mean good fortune and well-being before Hitler used it as the symbol of the Nazi party.
More recently, it was - obviously - adopted by the Nazi party in Germany from the 1920s onwards, forever becoming a notorious symbol of fascism. The symbol is now therefore synonymous for the vile and despicable acts of the Nazi Party. I have included a photograph of the floor ‘art’.

This morning to my Honda Fireblade motorbike. Fond memories of taking part in circuit days at both Snetterton and Brands Hatch.
It’s heartening to learn that Sadiq Khan’s ULEZ programme has resulted in a dramatic decrease in outer London boroughs including Havering, my borough.

One of our cars was stolen off the drive last night/early hours of this morning (between 11pm and 7am) from HIGHFIELD ROAD (on the corner of Highfield Crescent). This is the second car nicked off our road in 2 days.
Please please keep an eye out and please reshare this post as it must be around Havering somewhere. This car has sentimental value to its owner and he is gutted.
There was no motion detected on the Ring Doorbell, and we would be grateful if anyone around us could please check theirs too.
Photos attached to help.

Does anyone out there know anything about Lava Lamps. I've got an old one but notice the fluid inside it has evaporated quite a bit. Does anyone know the recipe for it so I can top it up. It's in good working order but only half full now. I don't think it's plain water and I don't want to spoil it by putting the wrong stuff into it. Help!!!

Vaccine Distribution (Edited)
All the politicians tell us how difficult distributing the vaccine will be, but surely the contract should be given to Royal Mail who have the expertise and experience.
Could it be because our corrupt government would prefer to bung their mates and donors billions of pounds regardless of how efficient they are?.
Just been announced and it is looking very promising. Hopefully, Dr Chris or the teague will give us an expert opinion before we all get too excited.

It's been reported by some supermarkets that people are panic buying items like toilet roll and tinned goods again as they did back in March in anticipation of another lockdown, I hope the supermarkets step in now and limit the amount each customer can purchase before these morons empty the shelves again, they must have really short memories as we were still allowed out to go food shopping last time. It makes me so mad.

It looks like the parkruns will be restarting soon, so if you're worried about catching the virus, stay away from the parks on Saturday mornings, where hundreds of runners will congregate, supposedly keeping their distance. The cafes will be packed.
It's another vector for the virus such as pubs and schools, but I wonder if it's a problem.
Did anyone else see all these nasty little creatures today I thought we were getting another plague, apparently they flew over to set up their colonies
Recommendation - Labourer/Handyman
Can anyone recommend a reliable handyman please for small jobs around the house and garden. At the moment I need a small piece of ground 7'x5' cleared for a swing-chair so really it's basically someone with a few muscles who can level the ground, pull up a few roots, stick 4 paving slabs down and manhandle the chair into position. Thank you.
Just heard that the Home Office is going to house 200 asylum seekers in The Palms Hotel on the A127, Romford MP Andrew Rosindall and the leader of Havering Council have written to Priti Patel to try to stop this as it will be an immense pressure on Haverings finances and the building is totally unsuitable.
