Why is the writing in the comments box so small when typing a comment/reply ?
it goes to normal size when you post it.

In the last days we have been investigating a potential security issue where a user were able to see content from a closed loop without being a member of it.

We have been able to reproduce one situation where this was possible when certain conditions were met. This issue is now fixed.

As far as we could find out this has been exploited in very few limited instances, but we apologize for the irritation caused. We will continue to review access permissions to ensure this will not come up again in the future.


While we appreciate that this has been brought to our attention, I want to point out that posting screenshot from closed loops into other loops is considered a violation of Scooploop's policy and will lead to temporary or indefinite suspension of an account.

The correct way to report security related issues is to contact Scooploop support via direct message or via the support email account ( support@scooploop.com )

The little i in a circle is now missing from the OP on threads - why ?

Hello everyone.

We have been investigating an issue where a user was able to post to a closed loop despite not being a member of that loop. Special thanks to the user who reported it.


It has turned out that due to a bug introduced on Thursday night, some newly signed up users were able to post to any loop. The glitch resulted in some users making "unauthorized" post to loops without them being aware. This only affected users who signed up since Thursday. It did not give them any other permissions and probably confused them as much as the moderators of those loops.

From what we can see, only a very small number of such posts have been made.


This bug is now fixed and we apologies for the confusion caused. However we continue to look into some other issues and will post updates as they become available.

I appear to have lost the 'New' on unread comments. Earlier today it was there in red letters, now gone completely.
Is this a bug?

How about making the titles in this loop come up in BOLD like all the other loops ?

1 I've lost a lot of PMs, apparently randomly - there are none before August for a few members, while another's messages go back to March but I can see that some are missing as the first message on that date is obviously part of the way through a conversation.

2 Text inputs normally if I start a topic, but if I comment on someone else's thread the text constantly bumps up and down and the cursor doesn't appear where I'm trying to type, which is disconcerting.

3 When I click a link to a group, I see a panel that is blank apart from the icons of my groups on the left-hand side and I have to scroll down to see the group I'm trying to get to, which isn't difficult to do but was irritating until I realized that I have got to the right place each time but just can't see it until I scroll down. I'm on a Mac with a large screen.

There should be a message popup when the cursor hovers over the main icons.
Disaster ! New notifications are NOT shaded and simply merge into the read ones, making it impossible to check them out.

Local loops that they moderate are still not on peoples profiles

It can take a very long time to work through a day's-worth of notifications after I've finished a shift, or been offline for other reasons. It would be very useful if we could mark posts as 'Read' from the menu in the loop view. That way, we could open the loop and work down the posts, marking the ones we aren't interested-in as 'Read'.

Yes, you can do this from Notifications, but the truncated post title in the notification -- and especially all those annoying posts that don't have a title at all -- means that to know what the post is about, you have to open every single one. You can, of course, preview them in Loop view, but you still have to open them to mark them as read, even if you don't want to read them.

Incidentally, this is even more needed for the Android app, where 'Mark as read' functionality is sub-par (it often doesn't detect that you have read something, particularly if you have opened it from a notification alert).

While you're at, it would be helpful (on occasions) to reverse this, ie mark a thread as 'un-read'. This particularly applies when you accidentally brush 'Mark all as read' in the app, which I have done a couple of times!

I've mocked-up a couple of menus to give some ideas. The icons are fa-book and fa-book-alt, although you might know better ones to use.

It is marked when an original post is edited. Is it possible to be able to see when a comment is edited?

One with 4 members one with 44 members ?

I am not getting notifications for new threads or comments on local loops that I belong to.
Have to search the loops to find anything new - even comments on threads i am following.

Would it be possible for notification emails about posts to threads to be grouped by topic rather than at the moment with different topics jumbled up together in the same email?

I miss the "Local" icon on the top tool bar. I'm sure I could click on this and see all my local loops in one go. I now have to go into each one separately.
Please could you reinstate this feature?

When I am hovering over a comment I am posting I get a hand instead of the pointer.

I've had a couple of reactions which do not come with usernames.
There are also comments without Reaction buttons.

I have noticed that on my profiles not all my loops are listed, why ?

It was a tricky decision to remove down votes by us, but it seems YT followed a similar path now, based on similar premises.

Hi all,
as you have probably noticed, we've updated the website with couple of changes.
To list a few:

- as mentioned in other post, there is no more local section navigation link at the top. Instead, all the posts are merged in one, main feed, but you can choose to see Local Only posts from the dropdown menu. This change was mostly based on feedback we got from different people and how having 2 feed lists was confusing for them, it might still be improved

- there is also a button called "Show suggested content" that stays toggled till you log out. When on, it will show you all the suggested loop posts, if off, only posts from your loops will be shown

- you can now easier contact the loop moderators using a widget on right hand side on a loop page (that was a suggestion from a user)

- we've added a support for Tiktok links in your posts - those should now preview the video in a nicer way

- there are some ongoing design changes - nothing drastic though. It's all to give the website a more contemporary looks

Any feedback is welcome.

I just wanted to give you all a little heads-up about titles in loop posts. As it stands, a loop moderator can make them mandatory or optional. The management has decided to remove the user's ability to choose whether to give their post a title. Now it is down to the moderator to select whether all posts are required to have a title, or no posts have a title.

Luckily, most of the "daily" loops has switched to mandatory titles anyway, so that should not be considered a major change.

A quick update to let you know that over the next few weeks we are revamping the site to give it a more modern streamlined look and provide a better user experience. That means a few changes, the biggest of which is placing everything into one main stream rather than different ones for loops and local - although it'll still be easy to access those through our new menu and filters.

Is there a quick way to find previous posts or comments? I currently use search and also look at activities on my profile but this doesn't always work.
This morning I was looking for comments about the Dark Web. I remember commenting it was all drugs and criminals using these sites. No luck in finding my comments which I believe was with @PeterJ.
Does anyone else have this problem?

to deal with this issue of the influx of annoying adverts we are working on some changes. Some of them have been introduced just now:

- members can choose not to receive the top bar notifications about new posts (called Bell indicator). This was requested by one of our users too.

- moderators can set all members as trusted and therefore easily review new ones

- also for moderators - when you suspend a user or mark them as trusted - the order of the page is kept - also some annoying bug people were complaining about

Have anyone noticed the issue when you read a discussion and want to go back to the loop It gets you of the beginning of the page?

Today i have found that when i click on the reply option the page jumps up and i have to scroll to get it down again.
So i mostly just comment and not 'reply'.
This is on laptop using Chrome.

last couple of weeks we've been mostly busy working on some backstage fixes and upgrades - nothing really visible for end users.
Nonetheless, we've updated the website just now with some new settings available for moderators. These are for them to choose and decide - but I'm attaching a screenshot for anyone to know what cards they have up their sleeves.

I keep getting double notifications

I've got some Idian fella emailing me.whats it all about. I never opened the video

I’ve recently been getting this message when I’ve tried to edit a post. I’m using the App on an iPhone.

I have just received an email from Scooploop regarding some PMs sent to my partner which stated they can check on emails sent between members. I assume they meant to say PMs rather than emails, but hopefully I’m wrong.
What I find really worrying is that if they can read PMs sent between members, which are supposed to be private it could cause all sorts of problems if the messages got into the wrong hands.

we would like to announce a few changes to the local section of the site. To keep in line with the recent changes to Scooploop and to give users more control over what they see and how they use Scooploop, we will be transforming the local section to include loops also.

Users will be automatically assigned to these local (neighbourhood) loops based on their current location. Users can also join additional Local Loops allowing them to widen and customise the local feed to suit their needs.

We have taken the decision to make this change to allow you, the users, more configurability and control over what you see and how you use Scooploop, meaning content has increased relevance and is more useful to each individual.

Local Loops will initially be moderated by ourselves; however, moving forward, we will be offering the moderation to local users relevant to the loops.

As this is a big change there may be some bugs that appear, we will be working hard to fix these as and when they appear so please do bear with us.

I've got a friend request from Web Pays offering me a credit card. Anyone else?

I'm finding it annoying when opening a Loop it shows the latest comment for each Post, which may belong to a sub thread and have nothing to do with the original post.
I would rather see the last comments, rather than the latest, without having to open the whole post.

At various times today I have noticed that I do not have a reply option on my screen.
(Browser / Android / Huawei P30)
