Indication that notifications are turned on for a post
Hi......I wonder if it might be possible for an indicator to be displayed next to the title of a post to show that notifications are active ? a coloured letter or dot/star perhaps?

Bug: Editing an Event post loses the End Time field data (Edited)
I just created the following event from my Community News feed, completing all fields correctly before posting. The event was successfully created.
On selecting 'Edit' from the dropdown, the event opened with the 'End Time' field empty, and a red warning message asking me to enter an end date and time. All other fields were populated as expected.
After editing the description, I re-entered the end time and saved the event.
Opening the event for a second and third time and the end time had again been cleared, suggesting it is a repeatable fault. In these later instances, no warning message was seen (only on the first edit).
I was using the website in latest Firefox, from a Win10 laptop. Behaviour not tested on mobile app.
(Not a big bug, but still a bug!)

Community News....... Last selected
Would it be possible to have it so when you selected Community News that instead of defaulting to local community it remembered what you last selected and displayed that ?
One of my posts in Hythe community seems to have disappeared.
I posted it successfully on Wednesday and I was looking for it this morning and can't see it. It doesn't come up in the search nor when I click on my name to look through past postings.
The title was Hythe Food Festival.
Can neighbouring areas be adjusted?
Hello everyone. I was intending to ask this question via feedback to the Scooploop team, but unfortunately I could not attach the photo to illustrate. I am also not sure if others have similar concerns or have already figured out how to change things? Or whether I am just confused?
I am currently included in an area called Cockfosters, although I actually live in Oakwood, in the Borough of Enfield. This means that a lot of my designated Scooploop area on the map is in Barnet (a neighbouring borough which I sure is lovely but I rarely visit) but doesn't cover most of Enfield where I do want to get involved in local community news etc. I am attaching a photo just to give a rough idea of an area I would really like?
In my settings it shows that it includes Enfield, and other areas in my wider area, but that isn't what is reflected on the map? Is there anything that can be done, or am I just getting confused?
Looks like some changes are being made !!!!
Looks like some Group photo changes have been made !!! the wrong heading photo's are being displayed and they are the wrong size !!!..........hope it get fixed soon !!!
Hi.....would it be possible to select how members names are sorted in the group membership list ?
Is it OK to put the same post in two different groups?

I've tried scrolling through previous threads on here to see if this subject has been covered, but can't find anything, so apologies if the question has already been answered.
I keep trying to hide threads in Groups that I'm not interested in. I get the message "Discussion hidden", but then I still see it. I click on the hide option again, to be told the discussion is already hidden, but it is clearly not, as I can still see it. I've come out of the group, logged out of the site, but I can still see the supposedly hidden threads.
Anyone else have this problem, and what can be done, please?
Thank you.
The @sign doesn`t seem to work like it did on Kahuti by lighting up the name! So why do we have it?
The list of unread notifications [ right side of my screen. highlighted in blue when you click on them] only shows 5 or 6 new ones, plus the option to click on others.
So have to click on this then go to another page and scroll down - sometimes waiting to 'load more'
Why can't it just be a list of all of them on the same page as it is on Facebook ? and save the palaver of going to another page.
Noticed that now at the bottom of a group thread it says ' return to activity' used to say return to group and return to activity meant community news
How do I make members visible? (Edited)
I notice some groups have `view` beside them in the groups list and some have `private` and some `open`. I can see all the members of some groups; that`s the ones I`m a member of-right ? What`s the difference between private and open groups? I would like the members of groups to be visible; is that possible? Is it possible at least to make members of the groups I started visible?
Scooploop Login Issues 26th June
Some users might have had difficulties logging into Scooploop in the browser during the last two hours ( late afternoon). Our fault. This issue should now been fixed.

I would like to express my thanks to Scooploop Tech Support for modifying the system that it sends by email only one reminder instead what it used to be many. Thank you

Today I had two. It seems my original message was wrong and more than one email reminder is sent.

Notifications (and emails) missing (Edited)
When I looked at my Community News feed, just now, I noticed a whole stream of new postings in one of my groups. This surprised me greatly, as I had not received any New Post notifications for them.
On closer investigation, I realised I had not received any New Post notification since yesterday morning (Fri 21st June). There have been several new posts, including one in this group.
Checking my settings, I still have all notifications selected as sending me an email, including in the group-specific settings for the two that I know have new posts.
Closer inspection of my emails shows that I have not received any 'New Post' or 'Commented on...' emails since 10th June, although I have received '[Local area] update...' and 'New Post from your Near Neighbour' emails since then.
Were you aware of such problems happening?
I've noticed that when I look at my notifications on the app, then look via pc or mobile Internet, the same notifications appear as new/current and have not changed to read.
Is this something peculiar to me, or is it a slight syncing issue?
Being able to switch between platforms without having to go to previously read items would be good.
Thanks Derek
Is it possible to remove the moderator icon when making comments in my groups?
The question is in the title...if this is possible, how do I achieve it, as I'd prefer that option...sorry if I'm being a little pedantic! ;-)
Just a thought but 1 to5 stars with rate would make more sense? People understand that

MOBILE APP: YouTube video (HTML5?) would not play from group post (Edited)
Found this, by chance, on another thread.
The following YouTube video will not play from the Mobile App (on Galaxy S7, Android 8.0.0, Oreo)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0304MYCNA4
The error message (see attached image) suggests the problem might relate to HTML5 video support.
The video opens and plays correctly from the Scooploop web site using Firefox, whether on desktop or mobile browsers.
(Yes, sorry, it's me again!)
Private Messages. (Edited)
There is no option at present to delete old, read unwanted PMs. Could the option of deletion of old “unwanted private messages” be looked in to perhaps?

The Ups and Downs of a Social Network (Edited)
Hello everyone. We have been asked by many people to introduce other ways to express approval/disapproval of a post or comment than the "Helpful" button, therefore we are now introducing up and down downvotes across the board.
Differently from the - stronger - helpful, up/downs are anonymous and generally there to quickly express your sentiment.
As in other social networks which use such a system, please use upvotes to encourage poeple, even if you do not agree with everything they say, and use downvotes sparsley where you find posts or comments of poor quality.
The feature will be available on mobile, too, shortly.
There will cetainly some bugs hidden somewhere, so feedback is of course welcome as usual.
Have fun and enjoy the sunny weather while it lasts, and you are welcome to upvote this post, obviously ;)

Limits on Messages? (Edited)
Are there limits imposed on the total number/size/duration of messages?
One friend has noticed that our oldest conversations have vanished (from little more than 2 weeks ago).
While much will be inconsequential, we have become used to referring back to previous conversations, where useful information may have been exchanged.
SEARCH -- Access to private groups?
Just tried to refer to something I knew was in one of my groups.
Search could not find it, despite using two definite keywords: 'hedgehog' or 'springwatch'.
Scrolling back a couple of pages of Notifications, I found a link to the post, which I discovered was actually titled 'Springwatch'.
This thread was in a private group: is that the reason why Search couldn't find it?

Hi. I noticed with the app you have to click mire to add below a comment. Desktop has a box so us very clear. Just a thought but it would make for better/easier user experience on app as well

MESSAGING -- "2000-character limit exceeded" -- warning shown too late! (Edited)
Just chatting with someone using SL Messaging.
I can be verbose at times!
Since the edit box cannot be resized, it is not easy to realise quite how much you have written in a single message...
...until you press 'Send', see a warning that says "Message has to be between 1 and 2000 characters long", and realise that your creativity has vanished into the ether!
Noooooo!
Lesson learnt, but I'm sure I won't be the only one caught out.
Would it be possible to change this behaviour, please?
A message warning that there was a 2000-character limit would be a good start.
A 'smart' solution would be for this warning to only appear when the edit box contained 2000+ characters (but BEFORE the Send button is pressed).
An alternative user-friendly solution would be to retain the text to allow editing until the message can be sent!

SL APP - Cannot scroll in edit box for new comment (or message)
When writing a comment to reply on a thread, the edit box shows me about 5 lines of text, but I cannot scroll this text with my finger. Hence, having written six lines, I can no longer read what I wrote first (and hence I cannot edit it further).
The comments in the window above the edit box are scrollable.
This is using the app (just downloaded) on a Samsung Galaxy S7, with latest Android.
The same problem occurs when responding on Messages.
Have not encountered this problem on other apps.
Dear support,
I receive too many emails. Every time somebody makes an entry it seems to generate an email and send it to all members. Could that be reduced to one email representing all entries when one signs in?
It is also possible that I have not marked the settins properly, in which case could you please advise me.
Many thanks and kindest regards.
Alright,
So I went to load a video and an image however it won't allow it. Only Images or 1 video.
Also it will not allow me to load 2 videos together.
Cheers
Titles in Group post notifications -- why aren't there any?
The notifications seem to work very well; however, I would really like to know the title of a new post in a group, so I can see if it's worth my attention. (This would allow me to skip most quiz/puzzle threads, for example!)
At present it just says - [Username] posted in [Group]
Update: Shortcuts to groups & sticky group posts
Hello.
Two new features for groups:
1) You might have noticed, clicking on your profile picture ( top right of the screen ) will now also list shortcuts to the groups you are subscribed to.
2) Group moderators can now make a post "sticky", i.e. it will stay on top of the group page even if new posts coming in. Making posts for group moderators will be supported in the mobile app in the next release, too, probably within the next few days.
A good weekend to everyone.
Whatwe are looking at (Edited)
Dear Support,
As I am new to SkoopLoop (SL) I find it dificult to find where I am on SL.
To give an example, when I click on the leftside Community News an the main page it does not say so. But if I click on some other item, it does say so.
Would it be possible to transfer the name that is listed on the left side, like this header says: Scooploop Tech Support.
Sorry for bothering you and wishing you a fine day.
I am new to SkoopLoop and I am from Kahuti and ex Streetlife. I am not a PC technician but I can lern a lot from other techis discussing their problems.
I hope you very technical people don't mind me (an 85 YO) joining.
Regards to you All.
Hi .......do you have or publish a Known Bugs List with date's with current status ?
Hi.....is it acceptable practice for a Moderator of an open Group to reject/hide/ban another member with no apparent reason ?
Viewing 'Surrounding Area' Posts?
Would it be possible to view posts for my Surrounding Area separately?
Or, more specifically, separate from Group posts?
(It would be useful to choose either 'Local' or 'Local + Surrounding Area'.)
In 'Community News' I can see all my Group posts and anything from my Local and Surrounding Area too.
Problem is, at present, my friends are in my Surrounding Area and their posts are swamped by my Groups feed.
Also, I get notifications for anything happening in my groups, but not for anything in my Surrounding Area.
(I have just stumbled across two community posts that would have been useful to see earlier.)
I am one of the horde of refugees from Kahuti.
One of the really good points of that site was that you could choose to talk to people from your whole town, or even further afield, rather than just the neighbouring couple of streets. Since my job took me over the entire borough, the choice of the wider area was very helpful.
Some changes regarding "Following" people on Scooploop
Hello everyone.
There have been a few questions recently about what it means to "follow" someone on Scooploop.
As you know users can post either to "Community News" ( for all people in the area ) or to "Personal Wall/Posts".
As example see my Personal Wall: https://www.scooploop.com/user/CitizenW
If you follow a user it means that his/her "Personal Posts" will appear in your Community News Feed, too, regardless of where they live, so you do not have to check his/her profile page all the time for updates.
As of today, you automatically follow people you have added as friends, as most people want to know what friends are posting to their Personal Wall. Of course, if you do not want to see your friends "Personal Posts" in your main feed you can always unfollow them ( and still be friends regardless... ).
We are currently working on some features to make it easier to discover interesting user pages, bear with us.
Have fun.

few bits for you guys to look at.
I'm not sure if Facebook lets you copy and paste images into a post, i don't use it that much?? if it does might be an interesting thing to look at on here at some point.
