Cadogan Hall was completely sold out for the Wimbledon Choral performance of Carmina Burana on Saturday. It was rip-roaring triumph with 200 choral voices almost taking the roof off!
Next up is the Wimbledon Choral Christmas concert at St Paul's Southfields on Dec 14th. This is always a joyous event, particularly for families. If you only go to one Christmas concert, this is definitely the one to choose.

Brand new 70's Adult Disco Dance course - Level 1 Beginners

Brand new course for adults - 70's Disco style dance class on Tuesday evenings from 7.30-8.30pm. This is a 4 week booked course and will run from 12.11.19 to 3.12.19. Two men knocked at my flat main door on Saturday and said they had come to do some work on the front door. I was not home but my daughter in law was suspicious and did not let them in. I contacted my landlord and they were not from them. It’s scary to think what might have happened if she had let them in. They had strong Eastern European accents , medium build , 30 to 40 years. Dark clothing. They had red tags of some type around their necks.

I do have a vague memory of previously having some kind of foreign spinach plant so it may be that? Does anyone recognise it?

Hello,
A few weeks ago I woke up to discover some type of animal had been digging holes in my garden - one main hole and other smaller ones. I scratched my head, filled the earth back in and then it happened again the following evening. I asked a few people's opinions and I got varying results = the above animals...
I put a big tub of lemon balm over half of it for a couple of nights and it stopped, until last night
This morning the hole was freshly re-dug and then I noticed the state of my garden chair - covered in mud. It's usually clean....
I will attach the photos in the hope someone can advise? The first 4 are the original event and the last 4 are today. (the brown powder stuff on today's pics is grass seed).
I have a cat who I don't think is capable and the garden has a low fence around it with gaps so any creature could get in really.

Hello, the wooden frames (and doors) in my flat are looking pretty tatty and chipped.

Any advice on the best treatment?
I read that varnish is clear so the scratches will remain, so I thought maybe a wood stain would even up the colour and make them look half decent?

I'd like to sort them myself, as cheaply as possible.

Anyone done anything similar?

Hi all, I have been asked to run a first aid course for teenagers and young people about to head off on their jolly's either on holiday or to various festivals over the summer, and we would like to offer the course out to anyone who would like to attend.

The session will be held at Club Creche, Southfields on Thursday 1st August between 7-9:30pm and available to 15-20 year olds.

During the course your son/daughter will learn vital lifesaving skills which will give them the confidence to help others if they need to while they are away. We will be discussing and practising CPR, recovery position, choking, bleeds, burns, alcohol and drug overdose.

Hello all. I have an elderly lady neighbour who is sadly rather immobile these days and in quite a lot of pain, so she spends as much time as possible resting, but as she was previously very active she gets rather bored and depressed. She is normally bright, sharp witted, interested in everything, funny and good company, but just physically frail and in pain.

I have been buying various paperback books for her, which she enjoys, but I am running out of ideas for novels or short stories which don't have violence/sex/kidnapped or murdered children/science fiction/wartime sadness/vampires etc. On the other hand I don't want joke books, as she is rather too intelligent for those to interest her very much.

So far she has enjoyed Dear Mrs Bird, The Robot in the Garden, The Trouble with Goats and Sheep, various Simon Brett light detective novels, and some humorous books about cats. The next one will be the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society, and finally The Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared. I don't know how she'll like the last two... but then I've run out of ideas! Any suggestions please? I think it makes all the difference to her to have something new to look forward to.
