Showcase UK
To promote areas of the UK you have visited with photographs of local interest and beauty spots within 5 miles, showing off the area to others with information about it.. Photos can be taken by anyone on anything from a box brownie to a high end DSLR to mobile phones and everything in between as long as you have taken them. Absolutely no happy snaps, holiday photos or pets and children. (these will be removed} The aim is to show what beautiful places there are in the UK and perhaps give you the urge to visit yourself.

Along the Thames in West London
Admittingly a bit of a dark and wet day. Walking along the Thames from Putney to Battersea Park.

A beautiful and usually very busy city, Durham was fairly quiet last month when we spent a day there, visiting the Cathedral, the Town Hall and walking alongside the River Wear.

Hall Place (Edited)
Hall place is on my doorstep and I can walk there in just a few minutes but I admit I haven’t visited it much lately. There is a large conservatory, an owl and a butterfly centre, a shop, cafe and a hide where the resident kingfisher can be seen regularly , for those with patience . Unfortunately as with everywhere else at the moment a lot of the grounds are fenced off and events that are usually held in the hall and grounds are suspended!

Beamish Living Museum of the North

Hope you like them -

This is on of my favourite parks as its so full of wildlife especially at this time of year.
But everytime I have been there since I discovered it two years ago I have been there with a friend, this time hubby came along and NOW he realises that I was not exaggerating its beauty and the opportunities there are for wildlife photography. -
