I'm looking for some old fashioned sweets for my mum. Things like lemon/pear drops, chocolate limes, kola cubes etc. sold by weight. It's for a gift, I am hoping to provide a little nostalgia. Does anyone know where I can get this sort of thing? I don't mind buying online but would be quite nice to visit an actual shop with her. Thanks for any suggestions.

Used car dealer? (Edited)
Can anyone recommend a good and reputable used car dealer in or near Morden? I've had a bad experience in the past and now a bit nervous about buying used... any recommendations for decent dealers would be brilliant. Thanks!

Hi everyone. I am looking for a swimming pool, or a gym with a swimming pool, that does regular aqua aerobics. Please let me know if you know anywhere near Worcester park.

Hi all. Just an FYI to be careful about asking delivery drivers to leave your parcels in your “safe place”. A delivery driver left mine behind my side gate and it was stolen in the 3 hours it took me to get home. There have been reports in Epsom of gangs following delivery drivers and picking up parcels left outside. The theft wasn’t picked up by my security camera so they either know exactly what they’re doing or are extraordinarily lucky...

Venue to hire in St Helier/Mitcham
Hello, I am looking for a venue to hire for a party with around 50-60 guests in February. Ideally I want somewhere I can organise catering myself, however I'd like the venue to be able to provide chairs, tables etc. A village hall or similar would be perfect. Any suggestions & contact numbers would be great.

Can anyone recommend any good pantos? I know I've left it a bit (!!) late to book tickets... here's hoping there are still some seats left, somewhere 🤞

We live in Morden and seem to be plagued with mice! Having a pet bird doesn't help as they love her seeds. Any ideas in getting rid of them for ever? Everywhere we leave food they get to it. Anybody else got a similar problem?

Hi all, a friend of mine wants to buy a house near Middleton Road in Morden, but is worried by the 'moderate to high' subsidence risk which was mentioned in the property's report. Does anyone know if this is genuinely an issue in the area? Thanks!

Old photo of Streatham (Edited)
I have been looking at old photos on Google and came across this one of an old bus (tram?) en route to Streatham next to one going to Blackfriars. There's not much information on the website. Anyone know what year it might have been? I love looking at old photos of London so please share any you have got or found too.

Just signed up to this after getting a leaflet through the door. When my late husband passed away, my neighbour would bring me hot meals to make sure I was eating. It really meant a lot to me. I have since moved and now my neighbour waters our garden when we are away and keeps an eye on the house. What makes a good neighbour to you?

Cheese sellers from local farmers markets
Is anyone interested in a stall at the local Morden Brook for their cider festival in August. Please get in touch with Cathy if you are interested. Usually very good turnouts for these events.

Good evening all, I hope your weekend has been everything you wished for. It is that time of year again! I am looking for damsons, do you have a tree with too many to use? I will swap damsons for either cordials, jams jellies and chutneys or little gift baskets or said items. Unfortunately, last year and it seems this year again, all the damsons, plums and wild fruits have been stripped from the trees again. Ths is a great shame as it goes against all the courtesies of foraging, e.i take what you need and leave some for others.
