Hatfield hall bazaar (Edited)
All for animals charities
Saturday 26th August
Shame it's the same day as Valance house market, I would like to do both.
Driving along Rush Green Road earlier today on the way home, I was surprised to see a very large crowd with police in attendance congregating outside the entry gates to the West Ham training ground. Does anyone know what was going on?
I’d have posted this in the Rush Green group but I’m still awaiting permission to join.
I’ve joined this group but alas there’s very little input. Have I made a mistake I wonder.

I have just watched this on Virgin 40 [Sky 301] it was a joy to watch, sad in places but not a weepie. Cant recommend it enough, brilliant performances from Hugh Bonneville and Keeley Hawes. Really liked it.
i have received an e mail supposedly from above telling me they hold a parcel for me for which I owe £2.95 or they will send it back, pls contact

Who remembers Budgie on 70's tv ?
from tomorrow Talking Pictures [Freeview 81] are repeating all 28 episodes, who remembers Adam Faith as Budgie a pre Del boy type, Ian Cuthbertson & Georgina Hale [ oooh Budge !] going to watch the first one to see if it wears well !
not a nice day to restart the job ,but I am not complaining, I asked would he come & do the inside windows for me & I would double his price & he has done this for me a while back, and now I cannot use my right arm, what was I thinking ? he reminded me they are not allowed to enter the house ! but he will do them another time.
another one bites the dust whilst until recently Greiggs seems to be doing well.
Does anyone remember Bartons the bakers ? when younger I loved their cream splits and it wasnt even fresh cream, were they called Devon Splits I think so ? and their fresh strawberry tarts were second to none at the time.
When did they close must have been ages ago.
The Good the Bad & the Ugly / film critic me

Did anyone else watch this "boys jolly up" on tv & find it as boring as I did ?
Happy St Georges Day everyone, now we have left the EU we should make this day [ in better times] a National holiday why not ? Rule Britania and all that.

the BBC programme For Love or Money 9.15am every day this week.
Well I am much too old for romance but I like to be aware of what is going on in the world, and what struck me as an impartial viewer was that all these ladies were [putting it kindly] not exactly smart well dressed middle age ladies who had looked after their appearance more the mumsy types , so why on earth did they not take stock of the situation and think to themselves why would a good looking trim man like this bother to give me a second glance let alone fall in love with me without meeting me ? It beggars belief !
I would like to string the scammer along and ask him for money before he asked me ! but its best not to get involved at all. I do feel sorry for these silly women who will never see their life savings again, what a horrible lesson they have learnt.
Do you feel sorry for these women folks or in the words of Roxy Hart [CHICAGO] ... they had it coming ..........
I have just heard of someone who got their money back from the credit card company for his Thomas Cook holiday due next month and he has been able to pick a different holiday with a different travel company.
Has anyone else had their money returned so promptly. ?

Is this a new type scam or an old one ?
Just had a very nice young lady ring me on my mobile, [ not an overseas call which annoy me no end] she tells me there are a lot of burglaries in my area and because of this they are offering me a free burglar alarm system all I have to pay is one off £49 installation, the rest is absolutely free. What a marvellous opportunity for me and peace of mind too and she wafts on, then I asked how much is the maintenance and is it per month ? oh did I forget to mention this ... its £29.99 per month ! Obviously targeted at the elderly, luckily where I live now there has been no burglaries since the properties have been built.
Just heard that Beth his wife who was on the programme with him, has died from cancer at 51.
I used to like them and often watched, did anyone else watch too ? They always said a family prayer before they started work for the day.
Medicur drug free pain relief ? I am in agony with siatica/maybe slipped disc in my right leg and waiting patiently for an MRI scan , the pain killers prescribed have left me like a zombie and I have been given by a friend the brochure of MEDICUR pain free gadget.
Does anyone on here know if it works ? only the cost is £181 rather a lot if it doesnt help me and I am getting ripped off.
I would appreciate helpful comments.
I have just removed 18 largish snails from my garden, being a sweet little old lady I took them outside and left them on the grass outside my back gate, anyone got a good remedy so they dont come back , to me it was like an invasion, never seen so many in one garden.
Alias, alter egos & nom de plumes
why do people on here keep changing their names ? why cant they stay with their original ones ? it baffles me truly, I have been on here & Streetlife without a change so have most of us , but others feel the need to do this &several times in some cases why ?, so what makes people do this ?
Is it a game like spot the deliberate mistake, or spot that tune ? are they gutless or just sad I wonder ?
