Just been watching Dirty Britain Grime & Punishment. Barking & Dagenham council enforcement agents, tried to fine a man for spitting in Barking town centre, fined a man for putting his rubbish in someone else's bin because his was full up, at least he didn't leave it on the road. They walk round barking town centre waiting to catch someone doing something wrong . If only they would come round to the side streets of Dagenham. In a banjo near me is a fridge or washing machine cant make out what it is, been there 2 weeks on the pavement no one can walk on the pavement. A few months ago the same banjo had a fridge freezer, carpets tall boy and house hold stuff on the pavement for more than 2 months. You'd think when the dustman come round they would report it, but nothing seems to get done. Even got a man who works on cleaning the streets lives down the banjo, dont seem like he has reported it. If he has then they just dont care as nothing done, this is an on going thing here. But dont throw a dog end on the floor eles they will be down on you like a tone of bricks

Ive been watching the sewermen on 5Spike. These men do a great job clearing our sewers, cant be a pleasant job to do. They are saying dont put wet wipes down the loo, or fat as it clogs it up and they have to be called out. Now im thinking, if people didn't do that, put things down the loo or sink, these men wouldn't have a job, that's what their employed to do, clear the sewers. if the sewers were running smoothly no fat, no wet wipes, there wouldn't be a job for these men to do. I cant see people never putting the wrong things down the loo, as most are too lazy to pour the fat in a bottle and put wet ones in the bin. What do others think, has anyone got a son, husband, who works in the sewers.

I have just noticed that several people on my contacts list have Linkedin by their names, from what I have read on Google this is a business site [for employers/employees etc] and i have nothing to do with it so why are my personal friends e mail addresses on it ?

Ive been in the garden this morning . I have no green fly, no black fly, no lady birds, no lace wings, spiders beetles, or cuckoo spit. I have a few bees, hoverfly, small blue little butterfly or they might be moths? . All these things are now disappearing form our gardens. What I do have is bloody flies, why do they survive when the other critters dont.

There is an historical show with re-enactments and displays etc.

Read today that finchingfield's pond has been drained by council workers. Killed the fish and the ducks have left, as now its smelly muddy puddle. That is such a shame as, we used to love going there for a ride out.

Has anyone else had bee's dropping in their garden. Had a bee on Saturday drowsy, so gave it some sugar water. Put it in a safe place for the night as it couldn't fly. It was still there in the morning, later in the morning it moved and sat in the sun to warm up. In the afternoon decided to fly off, three foot from the ground come down, up it went again for about three foot, and come down. The dog went for it and got it in her mouth. But the bee was struggling to get off the ground, so something was wrong with it. I then put it on a bush and hoped for the best. Since then ive had about five bees that couldn't fly more than three foot from the ground. There's something not right here, as ive not seen this before, hubby has just found another one on the floor.

Dont you just love these cooking programmes now. Watched one this morning, said we are now going to make Pikelets. Some milk ??? tsp of sugar, Pk yeast, flour ??? salt to mix. No mention of how much milk or flour. Then went on to say making Custard Tart, for the Pastry Flour ???, Butter???, Icing Sugar ???, I egg, one yolk. For the custard. 8 eggs, Loads of double cream???, some sugar???. How is anyone supposed to get it right, no wonder a lot of young mums dont bother, buy from the shop.

Just sorted out all my summery tops - some gone to charity [ 6 new ones bought] all been washed and those that need it awaiting ironing ----- what's the betting it will now turn colder and maybe wet.

At the end of last year I was getting bars of Baileys truffle from Wilko for £1 now only available on Amazon for £5 .45 for 2 plus £4.50 delivery - so that's £4.97 each.
I also used to buy Baileys mini balls from Asda for £2/£2.50 per bag - now they are £20 for 3 [including delivery - that's £6.67 each.

On Tuesday 19th February, there will be the biggest and brightest supermoon of 2019. The moon will "appear bigger" because of it's closeness in it's elliptical orbit around the earth. If there's a clear night, we're in for a spectacular treat.

The full Moon appears that much larger in diameter and because it is larger shines 30 percent more moonlight onto the Earth.

Are these boilers supposed to come on and off so much ?
eg. temperature is 15 - I set thermostat at 20 but it doesn't come on and stay on until it reaches 20, it comes on for a while then goes off then comes on then goes off.

What was the 'thing' we had on here before that was like a group chat with 'comment' or 'reply' options and different options of 'like' etc. for our opinions.
