Advise from TV Engineer Please
Is it possible to replace the HDMI ports (3) on a TV. Here's the story (in brief) Thunderstorm, lightening strikes Virgin cable in the street, power surge fries my HDMI ports on my Tivo box, (and incidentally two of my neighbours boxes as well) my Blu-ray disc player and my Samsung TV. Virgin replaced the Tivo box, I replaced the Blue-ray player, and brought a spare tv back from my caravan. All back to normal now, except I have a 32" Samsung TV which can only work with a digital aerial for Freeview tv. It cant be connected to any peripherals such as virgin, blue ray, x-box etc because the three HDMI ports are no good. This is a beautiful TV, HD quality picture, full black piano finish with swivel base. I cant just junk it. Any ideas ?

Xerox Scanner and HP All-in-One Printer
I have a Xerox 4800 Flatbed Scanner and an HP Deskjet F4100 All-in-one Printer/Scanner/Copier which I don't need anymore both are in fine working order and I have the leads, installation CDs and Quick start instructions for both. If anyone is interested a small donation for charity will secure the item. I'd like to see them gone by the end of the week.

My gardener has let me down. My garden is landscaped and he usually comes once a year and cuts everything back. Usually takes him 2-3 hours. This year he agreed to paint the decking too but he hasn't got back to me. Anyone interested in quoting for this work.

Recommdation - Bunty K Computer Services
Just had my Desktop serviced by Bunty. I would highly recommend him. A very nice man, polite and personable and did a really good job at a reasonable price. He also solved the problem I had with my iPod classic. I can now listen to my late mother's music again, nostalgia at it's best.
Thank you Bunty -
Hi , I have just joined scooploop on recommendation.looking foreword to hearing from you.

Macmillan Coffee Morning - Text to Donate
Thank you to everyone who came to my coffee morning on Wednesday, so far we have raised £131. For those who would have liked to attend but were unable, you can still contribute if you wish by making a donation by Text using my unique code. Text MUG CXG4 to 70550. We all had a lovely time, the sun was shining and we were able to sit in the garden and enjoy what may be the last of the summer, the company was good, and the donations generous what more could we ask for. I am holding raffle prizes for James UK and Irene. (missed you both at Breakfast Club on Thursday) James also won the Find the Golden Coffee Bean competition. I haven't yet had time to analyse the quiz results, watch this space for a further announcement.

Advice needed - UPVC Front Door - who do I call ?
Anglian fitted my new front door 10 year guarantee.
Lock changed after burglary by Griff independent locksmith from Streetlife.
Yesterday I couldn't get in. The key turned ok pushed handle down ok but key wouldn't turn to release the door. I thought oh no my mat has jammed under the door. Got in thru the back but the mat was a good 3" away from the door so that wasn't the problem. I don't know if the problem is with the door lock or the door lever mechanism. I've had this problem before fro the inside but never from the outside.
Do I call Anglian so they can check all the aspects of the door. Does having a new look fitted invalidate the warranty ?
Or do I call Griff to check the lock ?
Alternatively do I call Homeserve, with whom I have a home emergency policy ?
What would anyone advise ?
