The Easter Unlocked Holiday Activity and Food programme launches next week.
The programme will ensure children on free school meals can enjoy fun and educational activities as well as a free lunch each day from April 5-18. Easter Unlocked is run by the council with funding from the Government.
Children aged from four to 19 (up to 25 for young people with SEND), can chose from a list of activities including sport, drama, cooking, dance and arts. Activities are being run in youth clubs and venues across the borough.

`We have had an increase in reports of Pickpocketing Mobile phones in and around the Balham Area. These individuals seem to be targeting Females with buggies. Please stay alert and if you see something suspicious please call 101 or 999.
As a result of this we will be patrolling this area even more frequently than we normally do, Both in uniform and non- Uniform.` -

Jaggard Way planning application (2018/5413) for 4 blocks of 4 storeys each for 72 homes and commercial space underneath next to Wandsworth Common station was rejected last night (27 November) at the Wandsworth Council planning applications committee.
I spoke on behalf of the very many objectors – residents, businesses and amenity societies – who have been patient and consistent in their opposition over several years. This is good news for local people and small light industrial businesses as well as preserving the distinctiveness of this beautiful corner of Wandsworth Common. -

Planning application for Balham High Road - please object
There is a planning application for 158-160 Balham High Road (corner of Ramsden Road). I think this would be an appallingly ugly building and would be damaging to the town centre. If you agree I hope you will object. You can see the plans and comment at www.wandsworth.gov.uk/planning : application no. 2019/0736. Comments should be made by 15th May.

Jaggard Way (adjacent to Wandsworth Common station) planning application 2018/5413
The hearing of the planning application for the building of 4 x 4 story blocks for 72 homes with commercial units at ground level has been postponed from 25 April.
Officers are in discussion with the applicant to try to reach an agreement that the maximum reasonable amount of affordable housing would be provided. Consequently the Council’s independent financial viability consultant has requested additional information from the applicant.
The application is due to be heard on 21 May or 26 June. We will keep you posted.
In the meantime, if you have not yet submitted your views, you can still do this right up to the date of the hearing:

Hello, hoping to get some advice! My neighbours have decided to invest in some very noisy and annoying wind chimes and I'm not sure how to deal with this situation. The sound is so annoying, especially at night. Completely understand that they are entitled to have whatever they like in their garden as it's their property, but is there anything I can do about the noise? How should I broach the subject?
