Rover 75 2003 estate LPG HELP please

I cannot open my bonnet and battery is flat . Seems the pull handle does nothing inside the car as though cable has detached . I tried going through wheel arch to access it there cannot locate it Help please Trying to sell the Car £400 In BALHAM SW12
