Some years ago I took part in a photography exhibition in St Petersburg (Russia, not US) and I've remained in friendly contact with the organiser. We're exchanging emails about the awful attack in Moscow and it's obvious we are miles apart - she insists it was Ukraine, backed by the USA, which never issued the warning about a planned Islamic State attack that I mentioned to her. She's a long-term government employee, now running a big state museum, so I'm careful about what I say in emails to her as they're probably not private. But it's scary just how much she apparently believes this has US involvement, when the Islamic State hates Russia and the US have given the latter warnings about attacks. Or am I being very naive?
