    Windows 10 - end of support may not be 14th October 2025 in your case

    The end of support date of 14 October 2025 applies to whatever the last version of Win 10 is. Some versions cannot be updated. Windows 10 Version 21H2 reached end of support on June 11, 2024.

    To find out your version of Win 10, type WINVER in to the search box and press enter. Here is a list of versions that are no longer supported:

    As of June 2024, several versions of Windows 10 are no longer supported by Microsoft. Windows 10 follows a lifecycle policy where each version receives feature updates and support for a certain period. The versions that are no longer supported are:

    Windows 10 Version 1507 (original release): End of support on May 9, 2017

    Windows 10 Version 1511: End of support on October 10, 2017

    Windows 10 Version 1607: End of support on April 10, 2018 (Enterprise and Education editions extended to October 9, 2018)

    Windows 10 Version 1703: End of support on October 9, 2018 (Enterprise and Education editions extended to October 8, 2019)

    Windows 10 Version 1803: End of support on November 12, 2019 (Enterprise and Education editions extended to May 11, 2021)

    Windows 10 Version 1809: End of support on May 12, 2020 (Enterprise and Education editions extended to May 11, 2021)

    Windows 10 Version 1903: End of support on December 8, 2020

    Windows 10 Version 1909: End of support on May 11, 2021 (Enterprise and Education editions extended to May 10, 2022)


    Windows 10 Version 2004: End of support on December 14, 2021

    Windows 10 Version 20H2: End of support on May 10, 2022 (Enterprise and Education editions extended to May 9, 2023)

    Windows 10 Version 21H1: End of support on December 13, 2022

    Windows 10 Version 21H2: End of support on June 11, 2024

    These versions are no longer receiving security updates, bug fixes, or new features from Microsoft. It is recommended to upgrade to a supported version to ensure your system remains secure and up-to-date. If you cannot update your version, there is nothing you can do about it other than make sure all your important files are copied to a backup.
