Why not cancel stamp duty for vendors over 70?
Lots of baby boomers want to downsize, and that would be an excellent way of encouraging the sale of larger homes with only one or two occupants.
Why not just do away with stamp duty completely?
It's one of the worst taxes stiflng individual aspiration.
Moving to a new home generates many complementary businesses, and produces a feel good factor missing since the 2008 debacle.
