I had a beer with a retired ex-copper mate on Saturday who is or was a member of Scooploop. He said because we know the distance between our home and everyone else's it's fairly easy to pinpoint where we all live to within no more than twenty streets. He pinpointed mine to twelve streets in less than a minute. Knowing our first name a trip to the Havering Central Library to search through the electoral register and he would know the address he was looking for in minutes in most cases. That is made easier if he knows the names or number of other people living in our homes. People living on their own are just as easy to find. Another security lapse is the ability to click onto any other members name and read all the posts they have made. Doing that we can learn who lives alone and when we are away from home for holidays, meals, etc, etc. For obvious reasons ladies living on their own are probably most at risk. By using a "keyword indicator app" whatever that is, all kinds of other information can be found that would greatly help any criminal amongst us. He said that unless Scooploop removes our location details and distance from other users this site is putting us all at risk. He also said most of us are barking mad for putting everything about our lives online, and once again I am one of the worse offenders.
