Saga don't appear to be the best insurance company
The writer says that his car windscreen is smashed so he contacts his insurers, Saga. They give him the name of their approved windscreen repair company. He phones them but they can't come for over a week. The man thinks, that leaves my car unsecured and therefore not insured against theft. So he decides to call in a local company who fix his windscreen in a few hours.
The man sends the invoice for £550 to Saga with a letter explaining why he hadn't used one of their approved companies. Saga sent him a cheque for only £100. When he asked why they hadn't paid the full amount, they said £100 is the maximum they payout for windscreen repairs.
