Hi all – I’m looking for advice on bulb-planting. Last year I got a variety of (white) Narcissus bulbs with the intention of creating visions of beauty dotted around the garden – they are one of my favourite flowers. Unfortunately, I never got around to planting them! Eedjit. I’ve kept them in a dry place in the house but I was wondering whether they would still be viable to plant this year. I’ve checked a sample and, although the outer layers are very dry and crumbly, they still appear to be quite firm in the centre. Whether this is enough to stimulate growth I don’t know. Is it time to start again? If you have used year-old bulbs successfully then I would appreciate your advice. Thanks.
