Nuthatch
I photographed this nuthatch at its nest on the edge of a small woodland in Purbrook last month. It's a little shaky because the camera was hand held and I used the zoom, but recognisable. This is only the second time I have seen nuthatches. The first sighting was a few years ago in the New Forest when one was taking mud from a puddle to reduce the size of the entrance to a disused woodpecker’s nest.
