Just had my insurance renewal for my shower from Homeserve, they wanted £117, £9 more than last year. I thought, they are taking the proverbial, so contacted Domestic and General, they did it for £69, same cover. When I phoned Homeserve to cancel, she asked if she could see if they could improve on the price, and put it down to £68. I told her where to stick it, as why wasn't I offered the best price in the first place. She said they sent a general renewal because they have so many customers. In my opinion their computer should generate the best price for each customer. Sorry rant over.
