Information, tips and myths - No.33 - Windows Administrator account
Myth: Your Windows PC may show that you are the Administrator, but you are a just a User with administrative privileges. This is why you have to click to allow some operations to continue, or chose 'Run as administrator'. If you had Vista, you will remember the annoying 'You do not have permission to do this'. You can become a true Administrator to avoid the prompts, but it is a bit technical; google 'hidden Administrator account', if you wish to know more.
