I have a Pocophone F1

Suddenly, facebook has appeared on it, my grandson tells me that its as a result of an update by Pocophone. Can anyone tell me in very plain English as I am not tekkie, how to stop my phone pinging every time someone posts on a group I follow on my laptop? TIA.
