Driving off
Up early this morning I saw a news item about the rise in drive off offences at the fuel pumps

I know this has always occurred as a relative of my husband accidentally drove off without paying many years ago and hadn’t realised until he was contacted by police. Embarrassed he went straight back to the garage and not only paid for his fuel but paid extra to help them recoup, what was then a crime that occurred just a few times each week.
Now it appears it’s a regular occurrence which seems quite bizarre when fuel is some 20-30p lower per litre than it was a year or so ago.
