    Diabetic Blood Glucose Meters

These small meters are used for individual home measurement of blood glucose by diabetics. Mine was supplied free by my doctor and is a Fine Test Lite. It measures in units of mmol/litre. HbA1c as used by the doctor and hospital is measured in units of mmol/mol. These are the regular British units.
The meter reading of mmol/l is no use as a check when the medical people use HbA1c in mmol/mol.
    So a conversion is needed.
    1. Take the meter reading in mmol/l.
    2, See - https://www.accu-chek.co.uk/tools/hba1c-calculator
    3. Enter the meter reading in the box "Average blood glucose" of the "HbA1c Calculator" and click "Calculate".
    4. Your HbA1c reading in mmol/mol is then shown in the IFCC box.
Then look up on the image below to see how your HbA1c is doing. Ignore the % scale.
