Could It Be Cronyism
Recently we had a leaflet from the local Tory Party through the door and while I don't normally read them something caught my eye which prompted a little historical research which produced the following set of dates:-
2014. J. Randall MP for Hillingdon, receives a Knighthood and later becomes a Lord.
2015. General Election, J. Randall retires and B. Johnson gives up being Mayor of London to stand for Parliament and, with the strong support of the Leader of the Tory Council, Ray Puddifoot, is selected as the new candidate for Hillingdon, and is duly elected.
2019. B. Johnson becomes Torey Leader and PM.
2019. Cllr, Ray Puddifoot receives a Knighthood.
Am I being a sceptic or is someone scratching someone's back?.
