That’s what Culture Secretary, Nadine Dorries, told MPs in a committee meeting today. She’s wrong. 96% opposed privatisation.
This is a Culture Secretary in denial. This is a Culture Secretary who wants to push ahead with plans to privatise our Channel 4 despite public opposition. This is a Culture Secretary ignoring us - the British public.
We told her in a petition. We told her in a consultation. Hundreds of thousands of us have told her we disagree time and time again. But she’s not listening.
