Bug: Missing 'comment' box and other display elements
Earlier today I was contributing to a (lively!) thread, but now I find I cannot, as the comment box at the bottom is no longer being displayed (first picture). I can still add a comment if I call up the thread on the mobile app, but if I use the web version, either from laptop or mobile, the comment box is absent. Other people are still able to add comments on that thread: I don't know if they are all using the app.
It's this one: https://www.scooploop.com/loop/thread/slug/caroline-lucas-mp-calls-for-all-female-emergency-cabinent
Selecting another thread written by the same OP, and I can still add a comment to that, from which I conclude it is not a weird side-effect of the OP muting me (not that I believe I have given him reason to do so!)
Selecting other threads at random, and I can still add comments to these.
While preparing a screengrab, I noticed that the problem is more widespread. After the 73rd comment (yes, I counted them!) the comments are not showing the dropdown menu icon, nor 'helpful', nor the up/down vote arrows, although earlier comments are still formatted correctly (second picture).
Digging below the surface, and I believe I have some clues for you. Image 3 shows 'vue-parts-comment-box' where the comment box should be, and image 4 (the first missing 'Helpful') shows 'vue-dashboard-updown-comment', with appropriate parameters. I don't know the terminology to use, but it would appear that the 'vue-' elements are not being parsed to create the related display HTML. My guess is that the number of comments in this thread is significant here.
I'm using Firefox 68.0.1 (with a few key add-ons, including Ghostery, which I know can cause dramatic side-effects on some sites, CanvasBlocker, and LeechBlock). [Update: white-listing Scooploop within Ghostery, and reloading, did not remove the bug.]
Have fun!
