Aborted iPlayer post
To anyone who was following the aborted iPlayer post, here is an example of a volume control preventing you from hearing something. In this instance, a Youtube video is playing at full volume in Firefox, but is inaudible due to the slider on the right being down. Note the speakers are at full volume. Another example is, if you have a set top box with its output volume turned down, it does not matter how high you turn your TV up.
