Can anyone recommend a good flooring installer/specialist to rip up our current floorboards and replace with the new ones we have ordered? Looking for a few quotes as we've had one already which was extortionate!

Meal kit delivery... worth it?
I am absolutely useless in the kitchen and can't cook at all. I have seen these meal kit deliveries advertised everywhere but wondering if they are worth it. If you use one, can you recommend it to a novice chef? I notice there are several types.

Is anyone a Fitbit expert here? I have a new Charge 2 but it won't sync with anything. Tried multiple phones, several of which already have Fitbits synced with them, so I know the problem is with the device itself. I've tried restarting it too but it just won't work. Thanks in advance for any help ๐

Brilliant news - report of Low Emission Bus Zones (Edited)
The results are in from the first report of the Low Emission Bus Zones and there has certainly been an improvement! Putney High Street has seen a 87% reduction in NOx emissions as a result, as well as a 47% reduction of annual average NO2 concentrations.
There have been improvements across the board in all 7 of the first zones, including Brixton, Camberwell and Wandsworth. Fantastic news for South and SW London. The Avenue Cookery School in Wandsworth
Has anyone done a cooking class at The Avenue Cookery School before? I've seen them advertised a few times and I'm interested but the tickets are quite expensive. I'd be interested in hearing personal experiences before purchasing, if possible.

Out and about with my working dog Sunday 30th September
I have just returned from shopping with my working dog in my local high street, after coming out of Sainsbury's and turning back into the high street, on the way home
Walking towards the rail station, a group of people started calling to my dog who wears a bright coat huge do not pet/distract written all over it, I carried on walking ignoring the name calling and directing my dog to walk on, only for these idiots to start shouting and threatening my dog!
I have never ever had this happen to me before, I am shocked the high street was crowded
These were not ' youngsters or teenagers these were adults, why has society become so agressive -
Anyone know where I'd be able to get some photos printed off that I took on my phone? My elderly relatives would like some hard copies printing out.

Sofa stain: best way to clean?
Please help! My partner spilled a cup of coffee all over our cream sofa, and despite mopping it up immediately there is a noticeable stain. The sofa cushion covers can be unzipped and removed - will I be able to put the cover through the washing machine or is there a better way to clean it?

TfL are proposing huge bus route cuts and reroutes - a couple of the proposals include routes from Putney to Zone 1 locations so worth a look if you rely on busses to get you into the centre:
Route 14 (Putney โ Russell Square): Cut back from Warren Street to Tottenham Court Road and extended to Russell Square
Route 22 (Putney โ Piccadilly Circus): Cut back from Oxford Circus to Piccadilly and extended to Piccadilly Circus
Other SW locations:
Route 35 (Clapham Junction โ Shoreditch): Increase Monday to Friday peak frequencies from six to eight buses per hour to maintain capacity from 40 re-route
Route 45 (Clapham Park โ Elephant & Castle): Cut back from Kingโs Cross to Elephant & Castle
The proposals are in place in an attempt to prevent bus traffic across London and will be subject to full public consultation before they're put in place.

Hi everyone, I and my family just moved to this area at the beginning of this month. Can anyone suggest us outdoor places to take our super active sons out? One of mine is 3 and one is 6 now, as the summer holiday is almost over and I am still stuck with work until 8pm every day, my only option is to take them out somewhere locally. Much appreciate your advice!

NHS checks for Health Tourists (Edited)
8,900 checks have been taken across London on NHS patients whereby they checked 2 x types of ID to ensure the patients were not health tourists. Apparently "only" 50 of these patients were not eligible for free care. I think 50 people is still quite a lot in the grand scheme of things - 8,900 is not a big target group. Campaigners are asking the government to repeal the pilot as it is a "waste of time". I truly do not believe it to be a waste of time at all - we need a deterrent, quickly! https://www.standard.co.uk/news/health/8900-checks-on-nhs-health-tourists-find-just-50-liable-to-pay-a3850121.html#ICID=IYA

Jamie Oliver and the sugar tax
I have just been reading about Jamie Oliver and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's attempt to battle obesity in the paper. I must admit I'm a bit miffed that they've taken lots of the fizzy drinks I occasionally enjoy off the shelves. Not really sure why it's necessary? Surely people should be taught about moderation rather than confiscating all sugary drinks as if we are all children. Does anyone have any opinions on this?

I got a set of bluetooth speakers that connect to each other in different rooms for Christmas. My son got them for me, but he lives in Scotland and consequently isn't around to install them for me. I am not technically minded at all, I really need someone to install them for me and maybe show me how to use them. Might anyone know a handyman up to the job? There are instructions in the box.. Thank you
