Nobody notices me because I feed nocturnally. I eat all sorts of things, including mice and rats, and I attack birds at roosts. I often use streetlights to hunt, dropping down on prey from a height. I sometimes eat worms on lawns.

I sometimes come to feeders but I am more comfortable on trays or tables. I like to feed on the ground in flocks, where I walk with a slightly chicken-like shuffle. I have bright white shoulders.

I tend to hog the seed-feeders. In fact, my partner and I often stay for ages, just using the perches and nibbling away at the seeds. When we feed, the husks often fall from out bills. We are happy to eat almost any seeds, even sunflower seeds from heads, but we'll also munch dandelion seeds on the ground.
