Recommendation needed for someone who can repair my existing CCTV system
I just phoned up a CCTV company as I need to 'fix' my CCTV system but they do no repair old systems, only install new ones.
I am able to view it on my TV but the timer setting is out of sync.
I am unable to view it on my PC/mobile....it is failing to find the device.
The company who installed it has dissolved!!
Could someone please give me a recommendation of someone, based on personal experience, who could help me out and I also need a camera physically adjusted because next door have moved it - if I move it back myself, it'll likely just become a ping pong match plus I am unable to download any images, so would gain no interest on any untoward behaviour. -
Looking for a recommendation for a Tree Surgeon in N13 area..
..anyone know anyone competent and reasonably reasonable?

How on earth do they know this?
Yesterday, whilst I was waiting for my car to go through its MOT, I went to the nearby local park, to avoid crowding the mechanic's garage.
I was surprised momentarily when I received a question on my mobile to ask if I had enjoyed my visit to Chestnut Park!
I did not even use my mobile whilst in the park as I could not see the screen due to the bright sunny day.
So how on earth do they pick up this data and know I was there...it feels very creepy when I come to think about it...and makes me wonder about the Covid19 Track and Trace system...we are living in '1984' much more than even I had appreciated!!! -

old broken audio cassette reel
I have an audio cassette which is not working - it seems the copper metal strip has become dislodged.
Does anyone know where I can get it repaired from as I need it urgently and it does not seem possible to replace it or update with a newer digital version.
Thanks in advance for any ideas, all gratefully received. -
How to clean Windows after using Stickers (Edited)
Decorating windows with window stickers is a lot of fun. But once it wraps up, the decorations have to be wrapped up too if you don’t want to be known in the neighborhood as someone that keeps special decorations up for months.
Residue and stains are quite a challenge- very painful to tidy up after. So here’s how. But first, here are the two things that you will need (1) is a microfiber cloth and (2) a cleaning solution.

Just thought I'd drop a line and say hello and see what is happening in my local area.
Barnet, Enfield and Haringey are all on my doorstep.
Drop by and say hello.
I used to have an account and closed it in a panic when I discovered I had a doppelgänger but then decided I'd hold onto my identity but only just started using Scooploop after 18 months or so.
Fun and games.
So what is happening in your local area?
I would like to hear from you, my neighbours :-) -
Breeze blocks and/or building bricks
Hi
Just wondered if anyone has had any building work done and got a few leftover breeze blocks or bricks that they no longer want.
I need them for my allotment to hold down my mini greenhouse covers and staging on a temporary basis.
I'm in North London and able to collect.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, it seems really important to support birds at this time, and more generally. I have fed them on and off over the years but now the advice is to do it all year around.
I wanted to share my bird pudding recipe with you. It creates a big mixing bowl. As the birds respond, the demand will increase. I start off with basic economic oats. This is about 75p for a packet and I use half. Into this I introduce some grated cheddar cheese, and then whatever I have got to hand, like a lidful or two of desiccated coconut - careful, not too much, as it swells in their stomach without water. I tip in things like sesame seeds, some grated almonds, any other nuts to hand. Into the mix, melt some Atora vegetable suet and stir it in. You want the oats to soak up this fuel. I then put it into a peanut feeder, and as the birds peck, they feed the ground feeders below. I have had wrens, robins, pigeons, flocks of starlings, blackbirds, magpies, and all kinds of tits. Unfortunately the lone parrot who turned up has too big a beak to peck out from the mesh feeder. Separately I have a plastic feeder and into this I put common bird seed (the contents do NOT match what is on the picture), some dried meal worm, some cheese again. It is a dryer mix. I am not completely sure of what I am doing, but it seems SO appreciated. Please do what you can. Today in the freezing snow, I mixed both types of feed on a tray on our garden table. I had to go to work, but Mike says there were flocks of birds on our garden table. PLEASE do what you can. Irene -

I was sad to see the small Waitrose in Palmers Green close recently but I'm pleased to hear that Co-operative Food Limited has applied for a license to sell alcohol there so it looks like we may be getting a small Co-op which is good news as they sell great Fair Trade food.
So, we could soon have a Co-op food store on one side of the road and the recently opened Co-op Funeral Services on the other! -
Congratulations to everyone who did well in their GCSEs today 🍾
A particular well done to those incredible young people who sat their exams immediately after escaping the Grenfell fire, some of them in their pyjamas! ❤️ -

For anyone who is running out of ways to keep the little people entertained this summer, there is currently a children's fun fair in Broomfield Park, Palmers Green.
It's on until 2nd September and there isn't a waltzer in sight!
All the rides are for younger children. -
Pounds electrical goods, Winchmore Hill
I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this shop on Green Lanes.
As I went by today, I was a little surprised to see the claim made in their window and wondered if this is indeed the case!
I may have to investigate further! 😹 -

New jewellers in Palmers Green
It was sad to see the old WH Smith's in Palmers Green close last year.
A new jewellers 'Silverage' has now opened in its place.
According to their website, they specialise in handmade jewellery and can even create a silver pendant from a baby's finger print!
I guess it's better than another betting shop or nail bar! -
