A beautiful friendly one year old red tabby I rehomed last Wednesday I was asked to collect two days later. The reason being that she jumps up. I had warned that Cathy liked being high up and always sat and slept high up. But Cathy was only allowed on the floor. Both her baskets I brought were on the floor under the table. All her toys I brought were inside one so she could not use it. As I went to pick her up she was in her basket under the table. She came when I called her and showed much affection and she also did to the lady who does not want her. I pointed out that not many cats show that much affection and trust so soon. The lady replied she did soon after I left on day one. Cathy is so loving. She deserves a home that will love her back and take her needs into consideration. As she loves attention she likes to be high up to be noticed and made a fuss of.
Cathy is slightly confused being back in the extension room with another 10 kitties she would rather not share with. Has any one got space in their home and in their heart to adopt or to foster Cathy please? A garden with cat flap access would be ideal. Good quality food a must. Gocat not being on that list. Thank you -
Hi there. I'm looking to get my bike serviced and fixed. Nothing too complicated, I don't think.
Any recommendations? Thanks -
Hello, we are toying with the idea of getting a live-in aupair. We are just not sure that our home is big enough and if we can get used to living with someone else in the house. Does anyone have experience aupairs? Did the advantages outweigh the disadvantages? Any thoughts or agency recommendations greatly appreciated. Cheers

Two weeks after missing (Edited)
One of my two pussycats who had escaped turned up in the front garden although he had been kept indoors. He left with his best friend of 10 years. He came back smelling of aftershave and with his long fur singed on his back. The other one is still missing. He is a friendly black pussycat who did not like sharing with another three. He has a lovely new home waiting for him but did not know that so he had gone to try to rehome himself.

I cannot praise enough the staff at the Chase Farm hospital's Highland Wing where a few days ago I stayed 24 hours for a minor procedure. I would happily have spent longer there. The staff always had a big smile on their faces and were so kind. They could not have done more to make the stay enjoyable. From cleaners to surgeons all were very professional and friendly and charming and caring. A shame the food and drinks are not specially healthy.
Of course all was free so it is unbelievable to get such care. It was sad to witness some patients not using the words please and thank you though.
TV was not free and rather expensive but when it is all one has to pay for it is not a big deal.
I considered that short stay as my holiday, the first one in 6 years.
No idea if the staff are as brilliant in all wards. May be someone who stayed at another ward can comment. -
Urgently needed please. Kittens need socialising. Not nasty but a little nervous of people. Just got them and no space for them.

A forever home for their beautiful Marmalade they cannot take with them to their new accommodation that does not allow pets. They owned her since a small kitten but have not been able to find pet friendly accommodation so have only a few days to find her a suitable new home. She has been so far an indoor cat. She prefers to sit on shoulders than on lap and likes to be high up. I am told Marmalade is healthy.
Her owners have contacted all rescues and all are full. Can anyone offer Marmalade a kind suitable forever home please? -
Morning, my 7 year old quite rightly pointed out that we should be recycling our light bulbs. Something she learned at school apparently. Anyway, do you know where I can recycle them? They are all low-energy ones. Thanks!

How to calm pets down during fireworks
Hi all. We got a kitten 4 months ago and so far so good; she's well and truly part of our family now and we couldn't imagine life without her. However I am well aware Bonfire night is fast approaching and we're expecting fireworks sporadically over the next few months. We haven't had any experience of fireworks with our kitten yet so we won't know how she handles them until then. She does tend to get a bit freaked out by loud noises though. I am a bit cautious of what to expect and how to comfort her when they do start going off. Does anyone have any tips/advice? Happy to buy plug-ins/other reputable products if they come recommended.

Three little kitties rescued from NW10
a few days ago would love a kind person to help them develop their social skills. They were spayed and microchipped today. They are about 14 weeks old. It requires patience and kindness and a little time to foster them. A quiet environment is a must.

Mitsy Bitsy and her best friend
Have given up with the idea of being rehomed having waited about four years. Mitsy Bitsy and similar looking Maddison are british short hair pedigree that someone paid £500 each a few years back prior to giving them up. I do not sell the cats I rehome and they still do not have a home... I love them very much and they are no trouble but regret I cannot give them more time and cuddles.

From living rough to being offered love and good care and enjoying it. Sadly some rescues place too many as feral in farms or stables where their lives are far from ideal specially when unwell. What a shame the majority of people do not want to help cats and offer them good care and respect! I hear of unwanted and abandoned and abused cats on a daily basis and so very rarely of offers of suitable homes. I do get people contacting me to come and collect some of my cats but as soon as home visit is mentioned I no longer hear from them. Many cats are abused by people who pretend to offer good homes and tell the cat owners what they want to hear. Reminding you I do not rehome to private tenants as 9 out of 10 of my rescued cats were left behind by private tenants who moved on. Intended to have second pic first but somehow it did not work out. So you see after and before

Is urgently looking for a kind suitable loving home with a safe garden with cat flap access. Let down by previous owners this beautiful friendly pussycat is about one year old. He has a big bushy tail. He is being neutered, microchipped and worm and flea treated right now.
Sorry no private tenants.
Please email beatricekogan@hotmail.com if you can offer Mr Ginger a forever five star home asap. -
In urgent need of help in the shape of a roof over their heads. Can be an outbuilding or a spare room. I am full and cannot find them space as all rescues are full. I do not want them to go to farms or stables as they deserve better. Will be neutered and microchipped and flea and worm treated then vaccinated.
Anyone with a little space in their heart and home?
They need a little help with socialising but they are not nasty just scared due to their bad luck so far.
This is urgent -
Hello! I have just moved into a house that has a traditional fireplace and chimney and we need coal to light it. I’ve never had a coal fire before, always been electric. I remember my Grandmother used to have one and a "coal man" came every week to supply her. Is this still a thing? If so, is there one around here and if not, where can I buy coal from? It looks like it's going to be a cold winter and a coal fire would warm the house nicely.

From now until 20th October there are sensory play classes held at the Chickenshed every Friday morning (10am). I went last week and it was really good, my 11 month old loved it! It also gave me lots of ideas for play time at home. It costs £6 each but worth it.
They hold quite a variety activities for little ones if any mums are looking for something a little different to do. -

-
Hello all. I received a flyer today about ScoopLoop and have decided to give it a go. I enjoyed using Streetlife in the past and was sorry to see it go. I've tried Kahuti and Nextdoor but am not particularly impressed with either so here's hoping .........

These people are doing a grand job of improving the Rec. without over-civilising it. Hope one of them is reading this, to know their work is much appreciated.

Little tykes play house wanted
My friend is looking for a second hand play house for her grandchildren to play with in her Enfield garden when they come to stay. Has anyone got one they no longer need?
-
Orchid and Iris are still waiting for offers of a suitable forever five star home with a safe garden with cat flap access. They love sitting on the top level of their very tall cat tree and playing with lots of toys. So loving and friendly and beautiful
-
My brother and sister in law came in from Ireland and took me out to eat. There were 6 of us, so we chose from the hot and cold Mezze menus. The food was superb. Staff helpful and welcoming. Can't recommend this restaurant enough, and parking is easy after 6pm
-
Does not want her cat to also be homeless. She is friendly and two years old and in urgent need of a suitable new home or fosterer.
-
This beautiful little 10/11 months old pussycat deserves a kind suitable forever home with a garden with cat flap access. She is friendly and gets on with other gentle cats. She has now been spayed, worm and flea treated, microchipped and vaccinated.
She is a delight. Was abandoned by irresponsible owners so this time she must get a forever home or a suitable fosterer.
No reply yet to appeals to find lovely two year old white and ginger Willy whose owner recently passed away. No offer either to three older kittens living on school grounds who would settle for an outbuilding and good food. No offers of homes or fostering rescued cats. Very sad. -
Hi all I need a recommendation for a very nice restaurant. It will be my mum's 70th birthday soon and we would like to organise a family meal, so it will be a special occasion with about 20 of us in total going. Willing to travel a little further afield but parking is a must. Any recommendations would be brilliant.
-
Needs a kind first class forever home as his owner passed away. He is about two years old, friendly, neutered, vaccinated and healthy. He is fine with well behaved children. Willy needs the use of a private garden with cat flap access. Sorry no private tenants.
Can Willy become a new member to your family? -
Of kind people to offer them a roof over their heads in the shape of a shed or garage or outbuilding and good quality food. They will gradually become friendly to various degrees when socialised with patience and time and kindness. Are at present living on school ground and will soon be neutered and flea and worm treated and microchipped then vaccinated.
Must go in pairs. Can anyone help those kitties please? -
Ex Streetlife that I miss madly as it helped my cat rescue work considerably as well as introduced new friends and contacts. Kahuti member. Sadly for me not as good as Streetlife as too much irrelevant stuff FB type not to do with local life.
Hoping my many rescued kitties will benefit from help from ScoopLoop members hopefully finding 5 star homes and fosterers. I always do my best to help local cats in need. Sadly more demands of taking unwanted cats in than offers of rehoming.
Let's hope this is as good as SL was.
