  • Are you looking for Relationship Counselling / Marriage Guidance / Mediation

People can feel very stuck or lost when they have tried to make their relationship work and feel that getting through to their partner seems hopeless.

It’s totally rational for a person in a relationship to feel their love for their partner has died for good. Teaching the couple how to reattach is key to getting the marriage back on track.

Many relationships can be saved with the right focus, but many individuals in their relationship can feel anxiety and hopeless and give up far too soon.

Is it possible to save a marriage or relationship that has been emotionally and sexually dead for years?

How do I get love to come back?

How do we stop the rows?

Is it possible to recover from an affair?

Common Terms Used For Relationship Counselling

Relationships can throw many surprises at us all sometime, often where we cannot predict the outcome of any situation. Not only troublesome differences, but individual and personal differences and repeating patterns of behaviour add additional stress and anxiety . These then add additional stresses and tension between any couple. These in turn cause emotional sometimes physical or more often than not mental and emotional damage. With our relationship counselling sessions, you’ll learn about acceptance. Long term couples counselling may be more sessions. Relationship counselling not only covers a relationship between a couple. How Hypnotherapy Can Help You (Edited)

    Author : UK Leading Hypnotherapy

    https://uk-leading-hypnotherapy-centre.com/how-hypnotherapy-can-help/

Hypnosis is often referred to as an altered state of waking awareness. It is a perfectly natural state, which occurs somewhere between being fully awake and fully asleep.

Being hypnotized does not involve becoming unconscious, nor are you put ‘out’ or to sleep. You continue to have the faculty of hearing and the ability to think. Your mind can in no way be dominated by the therapist and you cannot be made to do anything that you do not want to do, either in hypnosis or afterwards.

You cannot even be made to enter hypnosis. If you are prepared to co-operate and allow yourself to be interested and involved in your therapy then you will discover that there is no need to try to relax or to make anything happen and hypnosis will occur quite naturally and easily.

The therapist may encourage you to go as deeply as you can into hypnosis. Each individual’s response to hypnosis is different and so the depth experienced may vary from a shallow state to a very deep state. The therapy can be effective at any level of hypnosis and so you will find that you will go to the level that is most appropriate for you at that particular time.

Psychological problems, from unwanted habits to irrational anxiety states, can often be traced to deep within the unconscious (or subconscious) mind. By the time they go for therapy, most people have exhausted the resources of their logical, critical conscious mind. In the hypnotic state the individual can allow himself or herself to be open to suggestions which encourage a more balanced or helpful attitude to reality.

  • Grief – Bereavement

Grief and bereavement are natural and losing someone in our lives is a deeply personal event – one that has the potential to affect us in many ways. Whilst most of us will share the same range of emotions and reactions through our grief, this isn’t always the case.

But one thing that is certain, is that simply ignoring the pain and hoping it will go away doesn’t lessen the grief. If you keep feelings buried, it can make it a lot harder to eventually deal with the trauma and lead to deep-rooted heartache.

Of course, there is no textbook way to deal with grief, but if you are finding it difficult to deal with bereavement or loss, there are a number of things you can try to aid the grieving process.

If the bereavement is a relative, it can often be difficult to turn to another family member for support – you can feel pressure to remain strong, to support them . If this is the case, or if you feel genuinely uncomfortable in talking about it to others, try writing your feelings down. Exploring your emotions in a journal or blog can be just as effective – and you can choose whether or not you share it with anyone.

How can hypnotherapy help with grief?

Grief is not just feeling sad – there are so many other symptoms of grief that can make life very difficult. Issues such as anxiety, insomnia and depression can arise as a result of grief. You may also experience physical symptoms of grief – loss of appetite, weight loss or weight gain, sickness, fatigue or sleeplessness.

Hypnotherapy is a popular treatment option which can give you positive suggestions to help cope with these issues – as well as many other symptoms you might be experiencing through your grief. It can reduce feelings of guilt and blame, and help you to find ways of coping in the future.

  • Anxiety & Hypnotherapy

Anxiety is a natural human emotion:

It’s normal to feel a level of anxiety or to get a little anxious at times. Maybe when preparing for a special event or exam or when entering into unfamiliar situations, such as a new job. Sometimes a certain amount of stress is needed for you to perform well and do your best.

If anxious feelings grow to an excessive level and are not dealt with, they can become a problem. If you’re suffering from high levels of anxiety you know how debilitating it can be. Anxious feelings can stop you from enjoying your life. They can limit you in your career. Can stop you sleeping and relaxing. Even cause actual physical symptoms resulting in illness, if they are allowed to get out of hand.

Anxiety can show up in our lives in different ways and forms but is often characterised by feelings of fear and worry about current or future situations, although often these feelings can be triggered by memories of a past event. Anxiety can cause the following symptoms; panic, fear, and uneasiness, sleep problems, not being able to stay calm and still, cold sweaty or numb or tingling hands or feet, shortness of breath, heart palpitations, dry mouth, nausea, tense muscles, dizziness.

    What are the causes ?

Causes of anxiety can vary from external factors such as worry about work, study, money. Even stressful relationships or a traumatic event in our past can trigger anxiety. Anxiety causes can also be the possible side effects from medication or hormonal changes, during PMT (pre-menstrual tension) or the menopause for example.

How Can Hypnotherapy Help Resolve Anxiety ?

Research has shown that hypnotherapy can help relieve stress, fear, and anxiety. It can also be used to help in coping with the symptoms of panic disorder. While under hypnosis, a person with panic disorder may be guided to bring attention to coping with specific symptoms and overcoming limiting behaviours.

For example, once the hypnotist has helped the client become relaxed, he may ask the person to focus on their panic attacks. The person will bring awareness to the physical sensations, emotions, and cognition’s associated with their attacks, such as chest pain, shaking, and fear. The hypnotist will use calming words of encouragement, like “You feel safe despite your discomfort” or “You are in control of your anxiety.” The hypnotist may also suggest ways to cope with these feelings, such as “Taking deep breaths during your panic attacks makes you feel calmer.”Hypnotherapy can also be used in the treatment of agoraphobia, a common condition for people with anxiety disorder’s. Agoraphobia involves a fear of having anxiety attacks under restrictive circumstances, including crowds or while driving.

Hypnotherapy can allow a person to learn how to remain relaxed while facing these fears. The hypnotist can help the person focus on getting past their anxiety and suggest ways to remain relaxed when in feared environments. Hypnotherapy can help a person with anxiety disorders, improve their self-esteem and overcome negative thinking.

The courses are all about retraining our mind and body to start eating only when hungry rather than tired or stressed. We will be working with the hunger scale, focusing on slowing you’re eating down and chewing your food, and tuning into that feeling of being full to enable you to stop eating.

We will be filling out a diary of everything that we eat and drink, making us more aware of our patterns and habits to allow us to enable change.

You will be taught how to control your feelings towards food allowing you to put the cravings behind you, working with NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique, the tapping technique) to assist you in overcoming those confusing times when you feel like reaching out for food and you are not hungry.

Other areas we will be work with:

We will also discuss healthy eating and different food groups. How to effectively and easily find that motivation to exercise, the benefits of water, the extremes of dieting, emotional eating and how you can be happy with yourself and maximise your motivation.

We will be spending time understanding and working with stress, which is often a great cause for people to reach out for food when not hungry. We will discuss what is your vice? Alcohol? Caffeine? Smoking? Drugs? Your body will be re-programmed to a more natural way of eating and we will be learning self-hypnosis to assist in relaxing our bodies more.

With this weight loss programme you can be as sceptical as you like and still lose weight. The answer lies not in the diet but in changing our response to signals from the brain, known as behaviour modification.

    Treatment for anxiety disorders.

Anxiety disorders are much more than just nervousness and worrying. They can be quite terrifying as fear about things that other people wouldn’t give to much thought to magnify. Many people with anxiety disorders understand that their thoughts become irrational, but they still can’t stop them. When you get anxious, you tend to have this pervasive thinking about some worry or some problem and you feel bad about it. Then you feel like you’ve failed, and you move to depression.

    What are the causes.
