Urgent gas repairs are being carried out in Welling in time for the increased demand of winter.
Mains replacement works are currently taking place in Bellegrove Road at the junction of Central Avenue, scheduled to end on October 27.
A council spokesman said due to the extent of excavation required, and for safety reasons, night time works were not possible.
