Update
Hello solar and storage supporters,
Thank you for signing the petition to halt the solar and storage VAT hike.
It has had amazing response, having now gathered over 17,500 signatures.
Since the petition was launched in May however, we have a new Chancellor in office, and
have seen no indication of HMRC scrapping the planned increase. Which is now imminent — due to come in from 1st October.
So today we have published an open letter to Sajid Javid, citing the support we have had from you, and cosigned by our friends at 10:10 Climate Action, Friends of the Earth and the Renewable Energy Association, calling again for the move to be stopped.
