    Reminiscing - 1964

    1964 was the year that saw many British groups hitting the charts such as the Animals, the Kinks, the Hollies and Herman's Hermits. All the UK no 1 hits were by British artists with the sole exception of Roy Orbison (It's over and Oh prertty woman). Among the groups topping the charts was the Searchers.

    What memories of 1964 do you have (if any of course!)? For me, I remember a holiday with some mates in Butlins at Bogner and playing table tennis with Mick (the drummer from Dave Dee Dozy etc) when they were Dave Dee and the Bostons and were playing regularly on the Butlins circuit.
