    League One Play-off Semi-final 1st leg. How the league play-offs work. At the end of the season the top two teams are automatically promoted. The teams finishing 3rd to 6th go into the play-offs. 3rd plays 6th, 4th plays 5th. The higher placed team always plays the 1st leg away. So tonight, 3rd placed Sheffield Weds travel to 6th placed Peterborough. The winners of each sem-final play the final at Wembley to decide which team is promoted.
