Pet chipping - Be aware

On RIP Off Britain Live. Ep 2 on Iplayer (brilliant programme, can learn so much, especially re fraud etc) that when you get your animal (especially dogs) microchipped, should they get lost there are so many different companies that are involved in this but they do not connect with each other, so owners can’t always track down their animals... and even vets should do more to scan a dog that comes into their practice. There are a lot of people who very sadly have lost their pets that are now complaining to the relative organisation (forget the official name) that there should be just one database and not so many, who quite frankly are making vast profits.
