Op Go Burglary Reduction 2020
We have extra patrols out and about following the clocks going back.
Policing due to its very nature can be fast paced with information changing rapidly. Those of you receiving this Thames Valley Alert must be aware that this intelligence is shared in the understanding that it is time-specific and should not be treated as current after the valid date has passed. Information valid until 29/10/20
We are interested in hearing more about these vehicles:
A number of burglaries / theft offences have been linked to a black Mercedes Vito Van in TVP, MET & HERTS. This van has 5 spoke alloy wheels, a chrome side trim that runs along the bottom. The offenders are using the van on cloned plates. We are aware that one set of plates are SN1_ VPV.
There has been issues in north Bucks with a light blue BMW estate (possibly 3 series) targeting addresses.
In Slough there has been a white BMW 1 series estate which has been seen 4 up targeting properties in the early hours.
If you see a similar vehicle and its occupants are acting suspiciously for example the sun visors are down in bad weather, wearing gloves, hoods up with facemask call it in.
BMW X5 owners we have noticed that these vehicles are being targeted at the moment. Please ensure that keys are safely kept in a Faraday box which will stop scanners that offenders are using. Also be aware if you are privately selling one of these that thieves may attend in person.
