OBikes
People may recall that last week a number of OBIkes were deposited on the streets of Enfield. These bikes are a new initiative to promote cycling but unlike the Boris bike, they are dockless; you locate them, release them and pay via an APP.
However they did not ask the Council or TFL who were not happy bunnies and they were hastily removed.
I think that this constitutes fly tipping and the Cllr Anderson, who has spoken out about fly tipping, should take action and fine the OBike people - the bikes were dumped (left) on the streets of Enfield without permission.
As an aside, not all OBikes were collected. I attended the launch of the Enfield Master Plan consultation drop in session last Thursday and found in the Council car park below the Silver (or Ivory) Tower one of the beasts. Perhaps it's going to be dissected to see how it works.
