Illustrated talk about Eastleigh in Hampshire, covering the period from 1839, when the railway first passed through the area, to the present day; giving an overview of the development of the Town, the Station, the Engineering Workshops and the Running Shed.

Gordon Adams is descended from a family who lived in the area before the Railway Age and worked for the railways for over 120 years until his father retired in 1981. He knows Eastleigh well from his days as a trainspotter and visits to the Running Shed and Workshops.
