Driving from the M4 through Langley towards Iver I go through the now completed roadworks near the shops.
There is no indication I can see of a 20mph speed limit until nearly at the shops there is a 20 written in the road. Outside the college there is a 20 sign on a post.
Does anyone know what the speed limit should be along that road, as when the road markings are hidden by snow only the posted sign will be an indicator for just a few yards/metres before reverting?
Are the council trying to save money by not putting up signage? Can they fine you if there is none? -
New Ladies Walking Football session to start at Slough Town FC!
Our first free try-out sessions at Slough Town FC (Arbour Park, SL2 5AY) on Wednesday, 21st September 2022 (kick-off at 5:45pm).
Please feel free to share and come along! -
Hi all
I am sorry it has been so long since I posted!
I hope everyone has kept as well as they can in these trying times. I myself have noticed that more people at the local shops say hello and share a smile (socially distanced of course) It is good to see and hear of neighbours helping each other .
Please feel free to share a story or say a thank you about these hard times and I hope many of you are enjoying a bit more freedom .
Alternatively, if anyone needs any help while isolating maybe one of the group could help!!
Stay safe -

Welcome November's new members!
A new feature on Scooploop, although only visible on PCs currently, is a box showing new members joining the group.
So, a warm welcome to ShirazH (@ShirazH), from the Upton area of Slough, and Mary S (@MarySamson) from Cove Bay. (Where? It's just south of Aberdeen, and 401 miles from Slough!!)
Hope you'll find the group useful. Do post things you think will be of local interest. -
SHOC on the Scooploop Facebook Page
Was scrolling on facebook out of boredom and it seems like Scooploop made a trip to Slough.
Has anyone read this yet?

Did you see the 'Hello' post by Slough Borough Council??
Yes, in response to my invitation, Slough Borough Council have joined us here on Scooploop!!
After the activity of StreetLife, the relative quiet of Kahuti has not put them off, and they are keen to continue the adventure with us here, and help get more people involved.
They are (not surprisingly) based in "Slough", so I will be notified of their new posts because they are in my local area.
I think we are able to see posts from our Surrounding Area, although unfortunately, we don't receive notifications for new posts.
So, did anyone else see SBC's post in their Community Feed?
(It's here: https://www.scooploop.com/loop/thread/slug/were-here/ , in case you missed it!) -
Good morning all!
Just a quick message to say PeterJ is now a moderator on our group.Due to work being busy I thought another pair of eyes and hands would be a good idea to keep any problems to a minimum.
Peter is a great source of tech knowledge too lol
Thanks Peter! -

Slough Happiness Get Together
Happiness get-togethers are a chance to meet like-minded people and take some time to explore how we can make ourselves and others happier.
Anyone over 18 who is interested in happiness is welcome, they are facilitated by a volunteer from Slough Happiness Collective.
The Get-togethers start with a few minutes mindfulness followed by a simple gratitude practice and then a chance to discuss a topic such as ‘how can we be more kind to ourselves and others’?
First Thursday of every month
